Blackhawks Win And Garage Beers Prevail

Garage beers never go wrong.

After a disastrous game against the Stars for Kaner’s 1,000th game, the Hawks pulled it all back together for Kane’s 1,001st NHL game. A 4-2 victory is what I wanted to see on this Thursday night, there were mishaps and mistakes buuuut what a night for goals. Let’s start from the jump. The Blackhawks got after it in the first period with a goal from Lucky 8th Dominik Kubalik just 5:26 into the first.

But the real magic started in the second.

Just 4 shots on net ended with 3 spectacular goals for the Hawks in 20 minutes of play. For #2 in the game, Carl Soderberg tipped in a shot from Adam Boqvist on the power play.

Duncan Keith got his first goal of the season on a lazer past Khudobin for a 3-0 lead.

Then to end the period at 4-0, Son of Chicago, Alex DeBrincat scored on the power play.

The Stars scored 2 goals in the 3rd to end the game at 4-2. Excellent win for Chicago but we need to stay on our toes moving forward to Florida. The Stars two goals came off bad D and a weak let in by the goalie. Keep an eye on those heading into the next game, keep producing at that rate, and we should be just fine. Positive. Positive. Positive. We play the Panthers on Saturday and Monday at 6PM CT, both big game going into the 2nd half of the season. We’re 5 games over .500 and we’re cruising. Winning some and losing some but I am loving this team. Some good some bad but better than we thought. Great way to head into a Friday, eh?! Cue Chelsea Dagger.
