The Florida Panthers haven’t lost a game since March 27th. The last time the Panthers felt defeat was in a 5-2 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs last month. Now, with 4 games left in the season, the Panthers have a chance to go undefeated in April.
In the last 13 games, the team has scored 64 goals for while allowing only 33 goals against. Their offense has been incredible. They get goals from guys up and down the lineup. Their top guys have been Jonathan Huberdeau and captain Aleksander Barkov, who I talked about just the other day. Their offense has been phenomenal all season long, not just in this stretch. They set the record for most goals in a season since 1995-96. They’ve scored, now, 325 goals in 78 games so far:
They’ve also had great goaltending from Sergei Bobrovsky and Spencer Knight. Bobrovsky put on a clinic tonight, he stopped 34 of 36 shots on net and hosted a .944 save percentage. He’s started 52 of their games, the 20-year-old Knight has played the other 30 games. He has an 18-8-3 record with a .909 save percentage and a 2.77 GAA. All around they’re an incredible team. They have taken the top of the Atlantic and they’re on the fast track to an electric first round of the playoffs. I can’t wait to see what else they do.
