It’s Frosty Time.
Last night the Philadelphia Flyers had a terrible 0-4 loss to the reigning Stanley Cup Champs. The team decided for tonight when they hop to the other side of Florida to play the Panthers, they needed some help. They’ve called up Morgan Frost from the LehighValley Phantoms and so far he’s been having a stellar season. He’s got 15 points (3G 12A) in 16 games played so far this season. He was just named player of the week, he’s leading the team in points, he scored in back-to-back games:
The Flyers are hurting right now. They just lost Kevin Hayes to injury again (which I am still heartbroken about) and immediately followed that up with this loss. I see no harm in them calling up Frosty. He’s been good, he’s already got a few NHL games under his belt, let’s see if he’s ready to really step up. In their last 10 games, the Panthers are 5-2-3 and on a 3 game win streak. Meanwhile, the Flyers are 4-4-2 and they’ve lost the last 2. I’m going to choose optimism here and believe they can win this one.
The puck drops at 6PM CT, I’ll be celebrating Thanksgiving but my phone will be in my lap with the game going during grace. (Is wearing my “I Don’t Fuck With That Shit” shirt too much for family dinner?)
