Oh boy am I loving this. The Chicago Blackhawks have extended Brandon Hagel – aka Bagel Boi – for another 3 seasons.
The 22-year-old winger had a kick ass season with the Hawks last year. He played in 52 games with 24 points (9G 15A) while averaging 13:59 per game. He was a big physical presence on the ice and I absolutely loved his energy. He also fought Patrik Laine, who is the bane of my existence, so that made me love him even more.
Plus, he’s already loved here. He loaded up a Dunkin gift card and said bagels on him for Chicagoland. What a great guy. I’m so excited to have him here for 3 seasons. I think he’ll stick in the lineup next season and continue to grow and kick ass. Now I’m definitely gonna have to buy a jersey.
