Not dead yet babes!
I said this series better go to 7 games and I am telling you now, they’re going to do it. Today, the Florida Panthers, who were down 1-3 in their series with the Tampa Bay Lighting, starved off elimination with a 4-1 W. Florida had some of their depth guys step up and score but the key player, to me, was their goalie. The Panthers had rookie Spencer Knight in net and he showed no nerves in his playoff debut. Knight faced 37 shots on net and he stopped 36 of them. I’m not shocked by how killer he was because I’ve been watching this kid all season and he’s been lights out time and time again. The 20-year-old goaltender has played in SEVEN elimination games so far in his season. SEVEN.
All over the board, the Panthers stood up tall in their 4-1 win. Maybe this is what they need to come back and win Game 6 to get this series tied up 3-3. You got some confidence brewing, the kid is doing great in net. Their next game will be on Wednesday the 26th (time TBD) so rest up and come back to smother the Lightning. Step 1 to beating a team that talented is killing the morale so if the Panthers can take Game 6, they’re winning Game 7.
I’m on the Panthers wagon now. They’re the scrappy underdogs taking on Goliath, who I happen to hate. They play their game every night and I love the energy. So hell yeah, let’s go. Everyone grow a mustache like Matty Marchment (that thing is glorious) and grab some rubber rats. Start playing some Stayin’ Alive and check out the highlights from tonight:
