Game 3 For Colorado Tonight, Let’s Get Hyped!

It’s game day, Avs fans. Let’s get hyped up for Game 3!

Last game, was absolutely stellar for the Avalanche. A 5-3 victory and secure 2-0 lead in this series against the St. Louis Blues. Let’s run through some great moments from Game 2. Now who could forget, a glorious Nate MacKinnon hatty to get the engines revving. The Dogg had a 4-point night. He started with a power play goal 18:05 into the first period. He scooped an assist on Joonas Donskoi‘s 2nd goal of the night, 3:14 into the second period once again on the PP. Then he closed out the game with 2 goals in the 3rd, one 15:25 in and the other at 19:48. Watch those here:

The entire offense has been popping off lately because the defense has been solid enough that their confidence isn’t shaken or compensating for that. Then again, it’s easy for the defense to be that good when they’ve got Cale Makar skating around like a God. They will probably be without Nazem Kadri after that needless head shot on a Blue late in the game. I see him getting suspended for a bit after it.

I would be a fool for not mentioning the great performance by Pilipp Grubauer. Grubauer has been a solid base for this team to rest upon so far. In game 2, Grub stopped 32 of 35 shots (.912 save percentage) and he really kept the Avs in the game. It felt like all Ball Arena could say that night was “Gruuuuuuuuuuuuuu-“

It’s almost time for another thrilling 60 minutes. I bet we’ll see more MacKinnon, Donski, and Saad goals before the evening ends. The team is in St. Louis but I don’t think that will change their trajectory. Puck drop is at 8:30PM CT. A late one but a good one. Now, Blink-182, play us out.
