Absolutely no shock here that Cole Caufield has won the 2021 Holby Baker Award. The 20 year old right winger just polished off a great season with the University of Wisconsin where he put up 52 points (30G 22A) in 31 games. He also won a gold medal at the World Juniors with Team USA where he had 5 points (2G 3A) in those 7 games.
Caufield is about to start his AHL career with the Laval Rockets, affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens. His gold medal with the Holby Baker only further prove this kid’s skill. I’m confident he’s going to kick ass in the AHL and NHL and I cannot wait to see it happen.
