After missing the start of the season with that unfortunate wrist injury at World Juniors, Kirby Dach returned to the lineup 6 games ago. He put up 2 assists in his first 5 games but tonight he scored his first of the season and it’s a beauty.
Patrick Kane, who is on a tear tonight, had sent Kirby a blazing pass and up the ice he went. Dacher lined this one up, sent it right over Oettinger’s shoulder, and the Hawks are up 1-0 with their Golden Boy on the score sheet. Great to see Kirby back on the sheet, definitely missed him in his time out. There is still plenty of hockey left between the Hawks and Stars tonight but Kirby’s first goal back is a big one. I expect Kaner to get one of his own tonight. He had a goal at the start of the game but that was called back, he assisted on Dach’s goal so keep an eye on 88 too. Let’s go Hawks!
