Secondly, you have to see this Mackenzie Blackwood save.
Unbelievable. Just by the skin of his skate, he was able to get that puck out. This has to be the save of the year. Even my favorite person thinks so:
That save was also important considering Blackwood ended up posting a 40-save shutout in the Devils’s 1-0 victory against the Bruins. The Devils are now 13-16-4 on the season and on Tuesday they’ll have to face the Bruins again. But if Blackwood is in net for that one, I’d say they’ll be pretty confident out there.
