First NHL goals are unlike any other and they’re my absolute favorites to watch. Tonight, Stars center Rhett Gardner scored his first ever NHL goal in the team’s loss to the Predators. It was a sneaky little shot that slid past Pred’s goalie Pekka Rinne just 9 minutes into the first period.
Aaaand how could I write this blog but not include the celly — arguably my favorite part.
Gardner’s goal came just a minute before Radek Faksa added to the scoresheet. The Stars’s scoring has been deep as of late but that’s exactly what they’ve needed if they wanted to start winning again. Their last 16 goals have come from 14 players, according to Josh Bogorad. Now, they’ve won their last 2 and finally racked up 10 wins on the season. They’re moving onto Tampa and they’ll have to give it 110% if they want to get some points in the standings out of Tampa.
