Michigan Shutout Ohio State And We’re Onto Minnesota

The BIG10 has straight up consumed my life for the past week. I had to watch Iowa and Michigan get dropped in college basketball in the same day. But today, for once, I’m celebrating!

Michigan’s hockey team dropped Ohio State’s ass out of the BIG10 Tournament in an astounding 4-0 shutout victory. From start to finish, I loved this game. The rivalry between these teams is a bolstering one. We saw big hits, huge saves, and even more emotion from both sides.

Not to mention the scoring was *chef’s kisss* beautiful.

Brendan Brisson got the Wolverines on the board first right before the first period needed. Exactly what you want heading into the second period.

Then this second period goal. From start to finish, the whole sequence was absolutely insane. You got Kent Johnson with the fancy footwork, then a backhand pass to Luke Morgan who sends it like a rocket with Cam York deflecting it in. Bananalands.

Eric Ciccolini put the 3rd goal in the net. Such a slick set up from Nick Granowicz and Jimmy Lambert.

At the tail end of a 5 minute PK, Brendan Brisson did it again with an empty netter. (That Hug!)

Strauss Mann stood on his head for the Wolverines. He made countless saves, he was the stonewall that Michigan really needed to have in net. 4 goals, all unanswered and we’re on our way to the semifinals. I love this team and tomorrow it will be a big game. Minnesota is taking on Michigan at 7:30PM CT but you bet all day I’ll be on one for this team. Let’s bring the big goals, let’s bring the huge saves, and let’s kick some Gopher ass.
