Trevor Zegras Is Absolutely Killing It Just Two Games Into His Pro Career

Since his gold medal victory up in Edmonton, Trevor Zegras has been on one.

We knew he’d be a stunner coming into his pro hockey career but hot damn is it great to see in real time. At World Juniors, Zegras had 18 points (7G 11A) in those 7 games, he played a crucial part in USA’s victory. This man hopped right off that plane and into the AHL with the same champion energy. Just 2 games into his AHL career, Zegras has put up 5 points, 2 goals and 3 assists. After his impressive performance so far, Zegras earned himself the AHL Player of the Week.

In this weird COVID year, who knows if we’ll see the kid called up at all but I hope we do. Zegras and his buddy Jamie Drysdale have been putting on a show in San Diego and it’s far from over. The Gulls will be playing again on the 10th and without a doubt, Zegras will have a goal there.
