Maple Leafs Partnering With PWHPA to Grow the Game

There’s a new partnership coming to the PWHPA. Just the other day, the PWHPA announced that they were partnering with the New York Rangers in order to grow the game. Now, they’ve announced that the Toronto Maple Leafs are joining in on the fun to help grow the game.

The Maple Leafs have a great organization so to see them really step up with women’s hockey is great. I’m hoping for some crossover content between the two. Toronto will also host a Dream Gap Tour showcase once the Canadian government allows them to do so.

I think having two Original Six teams advertising this organization will just be the starting point. We saw plenty of teams back the NWHL during their season so hopefully those teams will step in here too. I’m still team “get your shit together and form one league” but hey, exposure is exposure. I think in the next few days we’ll see more teams announce partnerships so stick around and keep your eyes peeled.
