Notre Dame put their 8th win in the books with a sick OT goal from Spencer Stastney. After coming off an OT loss to Penn State yesterday, the Irish kept with ’em today. Penn (Tyler Gratton) scored late in the first, then the Irish’s Alex Steeves tied the game 10 minutes later but in the 2nd period. Sam Sternschein of Penn State scored again early in the 3rd but the Irish’s Colin Theisen got the game tied 10 minutes later and off we were into OT.
Of course, if you’ve read any single sentence above this then you know how it ended. This is Stastney’s 3rd goal of the season and his 8th point in 18 games. Next up Notre Dame heads on the road to face THE Ohio State February 5th and 6th. The Irish are 5-1 when on the road and they’re just coming off this win so I think they’ll fair well against Ohio. For now, keep cellying homies.
