Not one, not two, but THREE Pride players have scored milestone goals back to back to back.
First, Captain Jillian Dempsey scored her 100th career point! Dempsey is the first NWHL player to do so. She has been with the league since its founding and she’s been a fundamental part of the Pride’s success. Not to mention this is her 2nd goal tonight so she’s officially on hatty watch. Keep your eyes peeled.
Then, 32 seconds later, Sammy Davis — who was taken 1st overall by the Pride in this year’s NWHL Entry Draft — scored hit first NWHL goal. Davis has been highly anticipated for the Pride and it’s very easy to see why.
Taylor Wenczkowski also got her first goal in the NWHL about 12 minutes after them. It’s been a full day of firsts.
The score is 5-1 and I’d say the Pride have it locked but we saw earlier today that anything can happen. I have been 5 for 6 on my predictions of this opening weekend so Pride pleeeeeaaassseee keep it together.
