Rangers Will Be In the Stands At the NWHL Bubble

The Whale and Riveters will have some familiar faces in their cutout crowd this season. The New York Rangers are supporting the NWHL while they’re in the bubble with 25 cutouts of their players up in the stands. They’ll have Artemi Panarin, Jacob Trouba, and the rest of the roster up there. They’ll specifically be in the Connecticut Whale and Metropolitan Riveter’s crowd but never the less, it’s awesome that they’ll be there.

MSG Sports EVP of Business Operations, David Hopkinson said:

“As an organization, one of the Rangers goals every year is to continue to grow the game of hockey at every level and for everyone. Any time we have a chance to make that happen, whether it is through creating access, opportunities or generating exposure for this great game, we want to be involved.”

David Hopkinson, EVP Business Operations, MSG Sports

I’d love for more teams to step up and do this. Maybe the Bruins put their team up there for the Pride, or the Wild for our Whitecaps. It’s a great gesture for the NHL to show they really support women’s hockey so hopefully we see more teams in the crowd. The deadline for face cutouts in January 15th so that better work quick.

Last but not least, an offer to the Whale and Riveters players:
