The Buffalo Beauts have announced who will be leading their team on the ice this season and it comes with no surprise.
Taylor Accursi, a now 4-year veteran with the Beauts, will be donning the “C” this season. Last year, she led the team with 25 points (16G 9A) in 24 games. By her side, she’ll have Marie-Jo Pelletier and Lisa Chesson as her “A”s.
Pelletier, a 23-year-old defenseman, is going into her 2nd season with the Beauts, she had 21 points (6G 15A) in 24 games last season. Chesson was with the Beauts from 2016-2019 before she left for a year with the PWHPA. She’s a 34-year-old defenseman with a lot of experience in various leagues and competitions.
All 3 of these players are spectacular choices to lead this team. The Beauts went 8-15-1 last season so they’ll be back on a tear this year to try and get back to an Isobel Cup. I think they’ll have a good chance this year. Congrats to the new leadership squad, y’all deserve it!
