The Vancouver Canucks have resigned centre Adam Gaudette to a one year, $950,000 deal. This is his first deal off his entry-level contract and were there not a pandemic, he probably would have got a little more.
The Bostonian had a great year with the team, played in 59 games with 33 points (12G 21A) while averaging 12:33 on the ice. Had the Canucks not been a big trainwreck at free agency, he probably would have got more but the team us under a bit of a cap crunch. At least they only have RFA Jake Virtanen to sign.
I expect Gaudette to have a good year this year and put up a little more than he has before. He’s still just 24 so he’s got a lot of room to grow. To celebrate his return though, check out the quick video above, it’ll make you laugh.
