The Toronto Six Have Their Coach

“Digit has a distinguished history of inspiring and empowering her players, and we are thrilled to have her on the bench of the Toronto Six. Anyone who knows Digit knows she brings a wealth of talent, dedication, and boundless energy to everything she touches. She plays to win.”

Johanna Boynton, principal owner of the Six

The Toronto Six have officially named their head coach. Digit Murphy, who was already with the organization as President, has been named the Toronto Six’s first head coach in franchise history.

Digit is a fantastic, Hall of Fame-worthy coach. She’s one of the most decorated coaches in NCAA Division I history. She was head coach at Brown University from 1989-2011, then she went to the CWHL until 2018. While there she won 2 Clarkson Cups and had a 70-27-3 record. Now, with the NWHL, she is at the reigns of a fresh team with a lot to prove. She’d led teams to Clarkson Cups and NCAA titles so I think she’ll do just fine helping the Six reach an Isobel Cup.
