The other day, USA Hockey has dropped the Women’s Evaluation Camp roster. The Evaluation camp starts October 25th and runs till the 31st and on the roster is numerous players who have already held a gold medal in their hands–whether it was at the Olympics or World Championships.
However, there is someone missing. I am very salty that Annie Pankowski had been left off the roster, once again. I looked around and I haven’t seen anything about her being injured or saying that she’s opting to not play. If it is a case of injury then rest up and heal. But if she’s been left off this roster although she’s ready to play then I am about to have beef with USA Hockey.
Pankowski is a 25 year old forward who has 3 World Champ golds and 1 World junior silver to her name. She also won a NCAA title her senior year at University of Wisconsin. In her 154 games with Wisconsin she put up 206 points (96G 110A). She’s an absolute stunner on the ice, I remember her being one of the players that wow’d me at last year’s Dream Gap Tour. It sucks that she won’t be up in Minnesota next week when she sure as hell deserves to be.
