Nate Schmidt is Going to Vancouver For a 3rd Round Pick

No shock here.

I just talked about how Vegas was gonna be trading him but I thought it would be in the morning. However, they had other plans. This gives Vegas the cap relief they need to keep Peitrangelo, and it gives Vancouver a defenseman after they just lost some of their big ones.

Vancouver has been a mess and taken a bad hit in this trade season but I do think Schmidt will do them some good. Nate Schmidt, 28 years-old, played in 59 games last season with 31 points (7G 24A) while averaging 21:41 per game.
