Tonight, after 137 days of quarantine, we have actual live NHL hockey games to watch. Not scrimmages, not team practice. A live game. With different teams.
What a time to be alive!
First up, we got the Penguins and the Flyers at 3PM!! The perfect way to start this weird Corona Playoffs: Hatred.
The Penguins are an absolute powerhouse, they have Jake Guentzel returning after his season was toast, I like their team and their drive a lot. But the Flyers are nasty. They’re ruthless and they’ve got some promising talent. In the end, I’ll put my stock in the Penguins for this one.
After that, we got Montreal and Toronto. I was gonna say “lol we know who will win here!” but uhhh it’s the Leafs. I’ve seen them get decimated by shittier. If Toronto is on, it’s TO for sure, but if they can’t find their footing, I can’t wait to watch a Brendan Gallagher score 6 goals.
Then we close the night with the Battle of Alberta. Edmonton and Calgary, I’m taking Edmonton on the night. They are another spicy young team with power and speed. Although Calgary is talented and has got some legs, Edmonton has McDavid and Draisaitl.
Regardless of who wins what, it’s official. HOCKEY. IS. BACK! Not, for the rest of the day, I’ll be sweating through 2 jerseys. I don’t have an Edmonton or Calgary so just Malkin and Barrie for today.
