July 4th, 2013 – one of the greatest days in Dallas Stars history. Tyler Seguin was traded from the Boston Bruins to the Dallas Stars just 7 years ago today and look at that little face. Look at him then. I feel like he’s grown up so much with the Stars.

In his time with the Stars, Seguin has put up 514 points (223G 291A) in 538 games. He’s helped the Stars make playoffs 3 times since then. Tyler has been a clutch player for the Stars since day one – he’s a fundamental part of the Stars team.
Plenty of people have given Seguin and his Captain Jamie Benn shit about how it’s been 7 years and still no Cup but I’m here to tell you to shut it. Seguin and Benn have led the Stars so damn well these past years. Even when depth was a shitshow, they kept going. They kept leading. Getting Seguin was without a doubt one of the best trades for the Dallas franchise. The team is still fighting for a chance at the Stanley Cup and you bet your ass they’re going to get one before Seguin and Benn retire. I’ll put my life on that one.
