Okay usually I’m writing about shows but this time I have a movie for you. This is one of my favorite movies – it’s 2nd only to Miracle.
This movie is called Kill Your Darlings.
Put on your dancing shoes because this one goes back to 1944.
This dramatic thriller is based a real life story regarding great poet Allen Ginsberg and his time at Columbia University. During his early years at Columbia, Ginsberg meets a plethera of well known writers, such as William Burroughs and Jack Kerouac, he falls in love with a man names Lucien Carr, does some drugs, helps found a literary revolution, and gets involved with a murder wrap.
Not only is the story entising, the cast is phenomenal as well. There is Daniel Radcliff as Ginsberg, Dane DeHaan as Lucien Carr, Ben Foster as William Burroughs, Elizabeth Olsen as Edie Parker – the list goes on. This was the first movie I saw Dane DeHaan and it’s safe to say that this movie is a big reason I absolutely love home. (And his acting in Lawless as Crickett RIP)
Overall, this movie is a must watch. It’s cinematically beautiful and the acting is amazing so please go check it out when you got time!
