NWHL Has Canceled the Isobel Cup Final :(

I am Big Sad now. The Boston Pride was supposed to face the Minnesota Whitecaps in the Isobel Cup Final on March 13th. Yet, due to COVID-19, the game was postponed back. This Cup Final was supposed to be historic: the winner would have been the first team in NWHL history to have 2 Isobel Cup titles. Now, the league has announced that the Cup Final game has been canceled.

This sucks but c’est la vie.

NWHL Commissioner Dani Rylan said that the 2020-2021 season will hopefully begin around mid-November, six months from now. Toronto will be apart of that season start so there is a lot to look forward too.

So hard to do, but in the wake of this global pandemic, our players health and safety has been at the forefront of our decision making process.
