We’ve all seen the NHL players do their Puck Personalities but this point but this one is a whole new level of strange.

Various players were asked that if they could pick a new first name, what would they choose? And the answers are all over the map. They range from random and outlandish to completely fitting.

Here are the best answers, IMO. Let’s start out in the thicket:

The only person I’ll accept naming himself Jesus is McDavid and you may quote me on that. Jesus McJesus works well for him too.

Ryan O’Reilly said he wanted to pick an Irish name and he picked well. Seamus O’Reilly works so well. O’Reilly is a hooligan and having a name to match would complete the outfit.

Here is an Irish name gone wrong. Fergal??

If Torey Krug changed his name to Troy he’d make my life 500x easier because I constantly call him Troy. He looks like a Troy but in a good way.

Alfred fits, it’s strangely perfect fir a strange guy like Klinger, but I can’t decide if I’d call him Al or Fred.

“Kurt Makar”… Nah. I can’t see sweet little innocent Cale as a Kurt. Also, Kurt Russell’s eyes look fucking crazy in that picture.

Sidney Crosby picking a bland name like  Mike (no offense Mikes of the world) is par for the course. I can’t imagine him being a Mike though, Sid is too original. Plus there would be so many “Be Like Mike” jokes.

There are many more funny answers in the video so check that out for a good laugh. What name would you pick besides your own?
