Today, the Buffalo Beauts took a BIG step in the right direction by signing their 3rd Overall pick in the 2020 NWHL Draft, goaltender Carly Jackson. The Beauts need a solid backup goalie after having a rotating bench of goalies this season. Brining in Jackson is only going to help them succeed.
Jackson is 22 years old, stands at 5’5″, and just finished up at the University of Maine. In her time there, she played in a total of 122 games while she averaged a 2.19 GAA and a .922 save percentage.
Jackson will slot into this lineup so well. I think the Beauts need the confidence of a strong goaltender at their backs so they can focus on improvement in their defense. It’s a big day for the Buffalo Beauts franchise with this signing. They still have 4 more players from the draft to sign and I’m hoping they go for Autumn MacDougall or Logan Land next but time will tell.
