HUGE NEWS TODAY! Kelly Babstock is coming back to the NWHL! Get fuckin’ pumped Toronto because you signed one of the best free agents in women’s hockey.
Babstock is a 27-year-old forward and absolutely dominates on the ice. This isn’t her first time in the NWHL. She played from 2015-2018 with the Connecticut Whale, totaled 49 games in that time with 23 goals and 27 assists for 50 points. Next, Babs moved on to the Buffalo Beauts for the 2018-2019 season. She played in 16 games and put up 10 points (4G 6A) that season before leaving the NWHL and playing with the PWHPA for a while.
But now, she’s back!
Babstock announced the signing on Erika Nardini’s Podcast, Token CEO, earlier today. If you didn’t know, Babstock played with Barstool’s Pond Hockey Team up in Muskoka and she was the best player on the ice, hands down. IMO, she won this game for the team.
I’m so excited to see her back in the league. She is an energetic player and aggressive on the puck. Babs is exactly what this team needed and I can’t wait to watch her absolutely dominate with this team. Might have to get a Babs jersey, we have the same favorite number (8). Welcome back Babs!
