The Stars just tweeted this video of Denis Gurianov‘s first NHL goal and wow I miss seeing Guri just light up opponents with unbelievable goals. Last season we were astonished by the young Roope Hintz’s boom but this season, Guri was the kid to watch.
In his career, he has 86 NHL games with 21 goals and 12 assists for 33 points. Between 2016-2018, he played in 22 games with just 1 goal and 3 assists. Well in this season alone, Guri played in 64 games with 20 goals and 9 assists for 29 points. Add on 4 GWGs, 7 power-play goals, and an average of 12:59 on the ice per game.
He was unstoppable. Another reason I miss the hockey season is I wanted to see how he would go through a full NHL season and playoffs. Once again going back to Roope, he thrived in the regular season and playoffs, I think Guri would have done the same.
