Last night, the Canucks traded for Tyler Toffoli in their hopes of a deep playoff run. Afterward, GM Jim Benning announced that Bock Boeser could be out for at least three weeks with a rib-related injury. Now, things have changed.
Benning announced earlier today that Boeser could be out for the remainder of the season. This is a huge hit to the Canucks as Boeser put up 45 points (16G 29A) in 56 games.
The Canucks can also be losing Josh Leivo for the rest of the season. Leivo played in 36 games with 19 points (7G 12A).
It’s been a season of triage for the Canucks, they’ve had to overcome a large number of injury and loss. This is their shot at a deep playoff run though so I don’t think this will stop them.
