Martin Frk Hits 109 MPH in AHL’s Hardest Shot Competition

For the 2nd year in a row, an AHL player has beat the NHL record in an All-Star Skill’s Competition.

Last year, we saw Anthony Greco beat Connor McDavid‘s Fastest Skater time of 13.378 by .127 seconds.

This year, Martin Frk shot a 109.2 MPH in the Hardest Shot. Not only did that beat Shea Weber‘s 106.5 MPH hardest shot winner in this year’s NHL competition, but he also beat Zdeno Chara‘s NHL record of 108.8 MPH.

God(s), can you imagine blocking one of those shots? My shins hurt thinking about it.
