Boston Pride Remain Undefeated Through 13

The Boston Pride are soaring in the NWHL right now. The team has yet to lose a game this season through the first 13 games. Now, with 11 games remaining the Pride are in hot pursuit for the Isobel Cup.

They’ve had a scrape with near defeat just once. They have won every game by 2+ except just one game that ended in Overtime.

Their offense has been exquisite. McKenna Brand and Jillian Dempsey have been leading the team with 23 points in 13 games. Brand has 12 goals with 11 assists while Dempsey has 10 goals with 13 assists. Their productivity trickles down as well, only one person on the roster is without a point so far this season.

Another strong point is the goaltending.

Lovisa Selander, just 23-years-old, may be a rookie but she has been the MVP of their season so far. Selander has 10 wins with a .940 Save Percentage and 1.91 GAA.  She’s seen 282 shots and only let 18 past her.

The defense has been standing tall in front of Selander. Their defenseman Lauren Kelly is riding a +10 with 5 assists and has blocked 17 shots in 12 games. Jenna Rheault is 2nd behind Kelly in blocked shots with 10 blocked shots and 1 goal to totaled 5 points in 13 games.

The Pride are the only undefeated team in U.S. Professional Sports and they’re fighting for the attention of the world.

The NWHL season is just heating up and you can follow along with me here at Ham Sports. These women deserve as much media air as NHL players and I will fight tooth and nail to give them the attention they deserve. So follow us here as we watch the race to the Isobel Cup continue!
