Patrick Kane Carries Blackhawks To Victory

This season has been rough as a Blackhawks fan. The team is 14-16-6 and things aren’t looking great.

But we must just take any win we can get. So I’m holding tight to this 4-1 victory over the Winnipeg Jets.

After a rough 1-4 loss to the Colorado Avalanche last night, the Blackhawks did the unexpected and grabbed a W on the 2nd half of a back-to-back. But it couldn’t have been done without Patrick Kane.

Kane played 19:02 tonight and was apart of all 4 goals scored by the Blackhawks. Kaner recorded 3 primary assists on Alex Nylander‘s, Dominik Kubalik‘s, and Erik Gustafsson‘s goals. To tie a neat little bow over the night, Kane scored the finishing goal in the 3rd period.

It’s not the first time Kaner has carried this team and it’s definitely not the last. The Blackhawks announced that Brandon Saad will be out with a broken ankle so the team will need all the help they can get.

Alex Nylander had himself a decent night. Nylander has been struggling and balancing between a player and healthy scratch but today, he had a total of 2 points (a goal and an assist) in his 14:15 on the ice.

If you know me then you know that I’ve been pulling for Nylander to be successful here since the trade and I believe that he can be just that. Yet the Hawks can’t allow inconsistency right now with how things are going.

The season is getting heavy but the win is another 2 points in the standings so I’ll take it. I will share with you my inspiration Cat poster for these dark times. 🙂
