The Philadelphia Flyers honored Oskar Lindblom in their game against the Anaheim Ducks. If you missed it, the Flyers announced last week that Lindblom has been diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer.
So tonight, the Flyers wore their Hockey Fights Cancer jerseys during warmups to honor their teammates. With that, an “I Fight For Oscar” sign was left on every seat of the Wells Fargo Center for fans to hold up.
Is someone cutting onions in here? No, I’m just bawling.
It’s a scene that brings goosebumps and tears, reminding you of how much bigger life is than hockey.
(I was already crying and then I turned on the audio. Fight Song makes me cry every time.)
This news has been a reminder to hug your loved ones close and count your blessings in life. We’re all standing behind you Oskar! #OskarStrong
