I want to start by sending my best wishes to Oskar Lindblom and his family at this time. Cancer is a big battle and he’s a strong fighter. I can’t imagine what this feels like but I’m sending my best wishes to him and his family at this time.
Sometimes our heads get so caught up in hockey that we forget the bigger things in life but yesterday, the hockey community was sadly reminded of the harsh realities of life.
The Philadelphia Flyers announced yesterday that 23-year-old forward Oskar Lindblom has been diagnosed with Ewing’s sarcoma. The Flyers said Lindblom will undergo more testing and evaluation in the next week before beginning treatment. Here is the Flyer’s full statement.
Lindblom will not be back for the rest of the season but the Flyers are keeping him in their hearts.
Once again, our hearts are with Oskar and his family right now. #FuckCancer
