Cale Makar Is Out of this World

Cale Makar can’t be stopped! The 21-year-old defenseman had 25 points in the first 22 games of the season.

He has recorded 7 goals (2 in tonight’s loss to the Minnesota Wild) and 18 assists. He has a +9 rating and is averaging 19:28 on the ice per game.

Cale can play the big minutes such as when he went 24:41 minutes against Minnesota. The Avs have a 49.8% corsi for percentage with the kid on the ice and he’s putting up 1.10 Points Per Game. Defensively, Makar has blocked 20 shots, laid out 13 hits, and has 12 takeaways.

Makar is on pace to finish the season with 93 points in his rookie campaign. This kid is out of this world.

Cale has been absolutely electric for Colorado and they have relied upon him to boost them while players such as Gabe Landeskog and Mikko Rantanen are sidelined with injury. The Avs are 13-7-2 to start the season so they don’t have to worry about too much, especially with Cale Makar by their side.
