Campbell’s Has Sent Ilya Mikheyev A Gift Basket

This is the best thing I have ever seen.

If you haven’t heard of Ilya Mikheyev he is a 25-year-old forward that is killing it with the Toronto Maple Leafs right now. After spending the last few seasons in the KHL, the kid has 10 points (4G 6 A) in 13 games with an average of 15:55 a game and 54 TSA. The one thing he has become known for is his love for soup.

Ilya Mikheyev bravely faced the Toronto media post-game, in English. Did a great job.

Talked about the adjustments to being in Canada now: “I like soup. I don’t know why you don’t eat soup. My girlfriend cooks for me, so I’m very happy.”

The man absolutely loves his soup so Campbell’s took it upon themselves to send Mikheyev a nice little care package today.

Ya love it see it. The guy is doing fantastic on the ice, he’s becoming an icon to the league, and he’s doing interviews in a second language he’s still learning and doing great.
