Edmonton Is On A Roll and My Superstition Continues

Finally, the Hockey Gods have stopped playing tricks on Connor McDavid. Edmonton has started the season off on the best foot, winning every game they’ve played so far.

The team’s point leaders are Connor McDavid with 12 points, Leon Draisaitl with 11 points, and what’s this? James Neal, 3rd in points, with 7 points (all goals).

If you haven’t heard, I have a superstition about Mr. James Neal. Everywhere the man goes, good things follow. I wrote a piece back when he got traded to Edmonton about said luck and how it has followed him around during his career. Now with Neal’s appearance in Edmonton, things are looking up. Now it is just the first 5 games but the insanity for this team to go from missing out on playoffs for the 2nd season in a row to undefeated in the first 5.

Of course, it’s too early to make serious predictions but I’d love to see a dangerous Oilers team in the playoffs. Connor McDavid deserves as much.

Now is the time to jump on the James Neal Magician Train, tickets are free and the Oiler’s season is bound to be sunny.
