Twas the Night before the season
When all through the League
Not a creature was stirring, not even a rat.

The banners were hung by the rafters with care
In hopes that Lord Stanley soon would be there.
Okay, I’m done. The season is upon us! A number of teams have locked in their rosters for opening night. You can check out each team and their cap situation here: (I’ll update as more lock in their roster)

The 2019-20 season kicks off on October 2nd where 8 teams will face-off. Ottawa Senators will be taking on the Toronto Maple Leafs for the first game at 7 PM ET. The Washington Capitals will play the St. Louis Blues. Edmonton Oilers will face the Vancouver Canucks. There will be an interesting rematch between the San Jose Sharks and Vegas Golden Knights.
It’s a hot start to the season with a lot of rivalries mixed in. With what happened the last time the Golden Knights and San Jose Sharks played each other, that game will be full of anger and action.
The next 8-9 months are some of my favorite of the year. Not only because I love hockey but so much can change in that time. Who knows what’s going to happen next? You never know who will have their best season or maybe their worst. Who will be in first by the All-Star Break and who will win the sacred Stanley Cup.
But it all begins now.
