The New York Islanders had an unprecedented run, going 48-27-7 in the regular season to finish 2nd in the Metro Division. The team made it to the 2nd Round of playoffs before being swept by the Carolina Hurricanes.
The team has got a great amount of young talented players and one is up as a RFA.
Anthony Beauvillier, last season, played in 81 games with 18 goals and 10 assists with a +1 rating. He has an average of 14:39 on the ice per game with only 8 PIMs in a season. Now, the 21-year-old is up as an RFA and the Islanders should bring him back for at least 3 more seasons.
Beauvillier is just 21-years-old so he has a lot of potential to grow over the course of the next few seasons and it seems like he works well in the Islanders’ system. The team has $8,653,334 in Cap Space with only one other RFA, 23-year-old Michael Dal Colle, left for the Islanders.
