Simone Biles Makes History Again!

Simone Biles is one of the top athletes of all time. And today, Biles had blown the competition away once more and taken home her SIXTH U.S. all-around title, the first female to do so in nearly 70 years since Clara Schroth Lomady. Biles grabbed her first five titles in 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2018. Now she can add this fantastic show of 2019 up on the trophy case.

In the pursuit of her sixth title, Biles preformed 2 moves that have been added to the history book.

First, She finished off a beam performance a few days ago, in a way that no other gymnast ever had. Biles dismount off of the beam was what is known as a double-double: two somersaults and two twists, while in the air. The video is mesmerizing to watch as she twits her body around and then lands it perfectly.

And today, Simone Biles did something unheard of once more. Biles became the first women to complete a triple-double on a floor routine. A triple double is triple twisting anf double somersault, once again all in the air.

This woman is an icon to children everywhere. Her confidence, her worth ethic, her willingness to speak her mind and be herself are all a part of this inspiring image that makes the role model Simone Biles. Biles has been breaking records since forever and watching her do what she loves so just so uplifting. You can feel her energy, even through the screen and it just makes your day.
