This past season, the Stars have been missing a 6’4″, 225 lbs defenseman from their lineup. Stephen Johns was sat all season with a head injury. The Stars originally announced on October 2nd that Johns was suffering from “Post Traumatic Headaches” and began a long recovery.
Johns was missed throughout the season but his recovery outranks everything. But finally, Johns took the ice at the Stars’ 2019 Development Camp!
It’s amazing to see him on the ice and it gives hope that we’ll see him this October. In 2017-2018, Johns played in 75 games with 8 goals, 7 assists and a +10. Johns averaged 17:33 on the ice and his defense was massive. He had 155 blocked shots, 201 hits, and 25 takeaways.
Johns’ absence was felt and it would be fantastic to have the 26 year-old back with the team.
