Alex Ovechkin’s Newest Milestone

Alex Ovechkin collected his 1,180th point in 1,055 games and has the most points among Russian players.

Ovie passed over Sergei Fedorov who had 1,179 points in his 1,248 career games. Following Fedorov was Alexander Mogilny, who we talked about the other day, with 1,032 points in only 990 games.Β

It’s another achievement for Ovie to add to his shelf. Ovie already has the Calder trophy, the Art Ross, Conn Smythe, 3 Harts, 3 Pearsons, 7 Rocket Richards, and is an 11 time All-Star! Not to mention his newest, and probably favorite, trophy the Stanley Cup.

So far in Ovie’s career, he’s played in 1,055 games, 644 goals with 536 assist (totaling to his record-breaking 1,180 points). He has an astounding +96 rating.Β

This is definitely not the last record that Ovie is going to break before he retires, which will probably be in another 20 years.
