Kris Letang is lighting it up on the ice so far this season. Letang has been a force of nature both on the offensive and defense. In the 38 games he’s appeared in this season, Kris Letang has 9 goals and 26 assists he’s riding a +13 rating. Last season, Letang scooped in 9 goals in 79 games.
Letang has played for the Pittsburgh Penguins since 2006 after being drafted 62 overall back in 2005. Letang has won 3 Stanley Cups with the Penguins and has always been one of their clutch guys. He’s also been a streaky guy, sometimes he’s hot and sometimes he’s not. But he still has a brilliant hockey IQ and great hands when it comes to amazing passes or terrific shots on net. Throughout his 13 season, Letang has built his way up to be the Penguin’s #1 Defenseman, and rightfully so.
A big aspect of Letang’s game is how physical of a player he is. Letang some big hits for someone of his size, both with a check or with his fists. Standing at 6’0″ and 201 LBS, Letang isn’t afraid to drop the gloves or stand up for a teammate.
Letang is set up to have a career season with how he’s playing. As long as he stays healthy, often his downfall, Letang is going to be an influential player in this years playoffs for the Penguins. He has been a big part of all 3 Cup runs before but this year, he’s a man on a mission and there’s no doubt that he’s hungry for a repeat, that much is evident in his play.
