Jason Garrison and Brandon Davidson Placed On Waivers

The Chicago Blackhawks have placed Jason Garrison and Brandon Davidson on waiver. Garrison was placed on an unconditional waiver after not reporting to the Chicago IceHogs’ practice.

Garrison was placed on waivers after being acquired by the Blackhawks this past Sunday from the Edmonton Oilers, with the intention of being sent to the AHL. After not reporting to practice, the Blackhawks have placed him on unconditional waivers, terminating his contract with the Blackhawks and being sent on the market as a free agent to be picked up by another team.

The Blackhawks have also placed Brandon Davidson on waivers. Davidson has been on the IR since November 27th following knee surgery. Davidson was expected to miss 6-8 weeks but began skating once more on December 14th. Davidson has played 7 games with the Blackhawks, scooping just 1 assist and a -4 rating.

In other news, Drake Caggiula, also acquired in Sunday’s trade with the Oilers, has yet to report due to trouble getting him a Visa into the US. All head coach Jeremy Colliton had to say about the situation was: “They’re working on it.”
